About Us

Aging Services of Minnesota is Minnesota's largest association of aging services organizations. Today our membership encompasses over 1,000 member organizations including 700+ provider member sites. Together, we work with over 50,000 caregivers throughout the state and serve more than 125,000 seniors each year in settings across the continuum from their home to congregate housing to assisted living to care centers. Aging Services members are diverse but share a common focus on person-directed living, missions of service to their communities and choice in older adult services.

Committed to excellence and to innovation, Aging Services is a leader in pioneering new service delivery models and is nationally recognized for expertise in aging services issues related to long term care, senior housing and supportive services. Through effective grassroots advocacy, cutting edge information, education, and public information aimed at increased consumer awareness, Aging Services of Minnesota is dedicated to creating the future of aging services.

Aging Services of Minnesota is a state partner of LeadingAge. LeadingAge is an association of 5,500 not-for-profit organizations dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities for aging. LeadingAge advances policies, promotes practices and conducts research that supports, enables and empowers people to live fully as they age.

The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), is the largest association exclusively dedicated to the assisted living provider community and the population it serves. ALFA represents over 5,000 for-profit and not-for-profit providers of assisted living as well as a diverse range of organizations involved in the assisted living industry. Aging Services of Minnesota is one of ALFA's 40 state affiliates nationwide. ALFA is a powerful voice at the national Capitol, working to promote the philosophy of consumer choice and quality of life for seniors. Aging Services members who join ALFA can take advantage of conferences, discussion groups, publications, online resources and group purchasing, among other benefits. Members also receive the award-winning "Assisted Living Executive" magazine.

Membership:

Aging Services of Minnesota membership includes more than 173 free-standing care centers; 50 hospital-attached care centers; 16 campuses; 482 senior housing providers; 88 corporate office members owning or managing two or more senior communities; 33 associate company members; 165 business partners; 33 honorary members; 21 individual members and 16 student/faculty members. Our membership represents more than 20,000 care center beds and nearly 28,000 senior housing units.

How to find us:
Aging Services of Minnesota is located in the Court International Building, at the juncture of Hwys. 280, 94 and University Avenue in St. Paul. Parking is limited to two hours, so please check in with our receptionist if you plan to stay longer.

Directions:
If you are traveling south on Hwy. 280, take the University Avenue exit. At the third stoplight, turn right onto Franklin Avenue (the building is on the northwest corner of that intersection). Take another right into the visitor parking lot. Park and take the south bank of elevators to Suite 350 South.

If you are traveling east or west on Interstate 94, take the 280/University Avenue exit; stay to the right and follow the exit for University Avenue. At the first stoplight, Franklin Avenue, turn left and cross over Hwy. 280. The building is one block down on the right. Turn right into the visitor parking lot. Park and take the south bank of elevators to Suite 350 South.
