CLAYTON-Jack L. Cobb, age 68, of Clayton, died on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at his home. He was born December 13, 1942, in Estill Springs, Tennessee to Claude and Lura (Krantz) Cobb. On March 21, 1964, he married Patricia Rolman in Lynchburg, Tennessee and she survives. Jack was the owner and operator of the Cobb Racing Stables. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970, in Viet Nam. While in the service he earned the following medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Two Bronze Service Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device, and the Army Commendation Medal w/One Oak Leaf Cluster. He enjoyed horse racing. Jack was a member of USTA, MHHA, and was a lifetime member of the Annis-Fint VFW Post #1584. In addition to his wife, Pat, he is survived by two daughters, Annette R. Noble of Adrian and Vicky Mullins of Kingsport, Tennessee; four granddaughters, Tiffany, Melanie, Katrina, and Ali; a great-granddaughter, Hailey; three brothers, Bobby Cobb and Joe Cobb, both of Tennessee and Claude Cobb of Michigan; five sisters, Ruby Joyce Woosley of Tennessee, Betty Hunter of California, Linda King of Tennessee, Margaret Gresham of Michigan and Nellie Hamblin of Michigan; and two half brothers, Larry Tant and David Tant, both of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Cobb. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
