Robert Law, 87, of Oscoda Michigan passed away peacefully in the early hours of February 15, 2018 with Lynn, his wife of 65 years nearby.
Bob was involved with training and racing harness horses for many years throughout Michigan and while wintering at Spring Garden Ranch in Florida. He greatly enjoyed his friends and acquaintances in the horse business and developing young race horses.
The son of an immigrant, Bob came to the U.S. from Cornwall England when he was four years old. After graduation from Flint Central High School he joined the Air Force and became an Inflight Refueling Specialist and a Staff Sargent. After the service, Bob attended Western Michigan University where he obtained a degree in Agriculture and began his career with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Soil Conservation Service. After having been stationed in many locations including Paw Paw, Harrisville, Chatham, Sandusky and Hillsdale Michigan he finished his career as the District Conservationist in Bad Axe, Michigan. Bob was a people person and took great pleasure in his work and the relationships he built with Farmers and landowners around the state while working to protect and conserve our nations natural resources.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lynn, 3 sons, 6 grandchildren and one great grandson. His legacy will be his work ethic, honesty and his ability and willingness to make friends with everyone regardless of their station in life.
