William L. Stout
William Lee Stout died March 22, 2012, on his farm in Dundee, Michigan. Bill was known to some as Willie, Coach, Popman, Brother Bill, Uncle Bill, and Mr. Bill. He held a special place in the lives of many people. He was husband to Christina Delf Stout for the last 34 years. He was dad to Guy William Stout and Stefanie Anne Stout. Other than his family and friends, Bill had three loves in his life: football, horseracing and gambling. Bill’s love for football began at Devilbiss High School where he made all-city in 1961. In the 70’s, he coached the Toledo Troopers Women’s Professional Football team, then coached again at Dundee High School, where he retired as Transportation Director. Bill owned and raced standardbred horses. When he wasn’t busy coaching or racing horses, Bill enjoyed trying his luck gambling and traveled to many racetracks and casinos with his wife Chris. Bill had a talent for making people laugh, and those who knew him will long remember the twinkle in those blue eyes and the smile on his face. It was Bill’s wish that friends and family celebrate his life at his farm. A memorial tribute will begin at 11:00 a.m. on April 21, followed by a party in Bill’s honor. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
