The Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association (MHHA) holds an annual election for members of the Board of Directors whose terms are expiring.

Board terms run from January through January, with directors serving according to the term established for their seat.

Each year, MHHA announces the opening of the election cycle and provides information regarding the Board seats up for election. Eligible MHHA members interested in running for the Board must complete and submit the required petition by the published deadline.

Following the close of nominations, ballots are distributed to eligible voting members in accordance with MHHA election procedures. Members are provided a designated period to submit their ballots.

Election results are announced annually at the MHHA Annual Banquet in January, at which time the newly elected or re-elected directors begin their new terms.
